Our History

CLA was established in 1986. In the 1990s, the company experienced several years of growth and expanded automotive service capabilities. In 2000, CLA consolidated multiple locations into a single facility in Lakeville, designed to create a pleasant environment for customers, with amentities such as wifi, comfortable seating, and increased repair capacity.

Karl Drotning founded the business operations of Crystal Lake Automotive in 1986.

Employee staff expanded to three in 1987.

Crystal Lake Automotive acquired their second facility in Lakeville in 1992.

Jim Siegfried acquired an ownership interest in the business in 1998.
