Transmission Transfer Case Repair

We rebuild and repair transmissions and transfer cases for nearly every make and model, including hybrids.  We also provide critical maintenance services to these components.

Primary transmission services include fluid flushing and filter replacement.  Transmission servicing is a critical, maintenance service to prevent needless transmission wear extend the life of your vehicle transmission.

Due to Minnesota winters, our vehicles are subject to extreme temperature conditions, which often increase wear to critical clutch lining and torque conversion functions.  Adhering to the manufacturer's recommended service schedule can avoid costly repairs.  Although each vehicle is slightly different, transmissions should be serviced every  30,000 miles or at 18 month intervals with renewal of the transmission filter.  Some service garages don't replace fluid filters.  But without a new filter, buildup can ensue, straining the pump capacity and overall transmission system.  Flushing the fluid replaces at least 90% of the transmission fluid but does not remove the debris built up in the filter.  Restricted pump flow combined with regular wear and tear can permanently damage the transmission.

The transfer case is integrated with the transmission and connected to the front and rear axles by drive shafts.  Failure of the transfer case disrupts the power being transferred to the front and rear axles.  Typical aspects of transfer case service include consultation, inspection, removal, and repair.  We replace and repair gears, bearings, gaskets, and seals.
